Picasso Painting ripped

Pablo Picasso’s painting, The Actor, was damaged when a New York woman, attending an art class, allegedly lost her balance, tripped and fell onto the painting, and ripped the lower right hand corner. One wonders how someone looses her balance and falls onto a painting. Usually security who is bored out of their minds is always telling you not to stand so close to the painting. Do some people not respect the velvet rope? Perhaps not. So this woman who ever she is, is a complete moron. Artsy is just saying it out loud. How does one loose their balance and immediately grab onto the painting hanging on the wall? Out of all the things you can grab onto you decide, hey I’m gonna grab onto this $130 million dollar painting in a musuem to break my fall. If she had any brains she would have just fell and sued the Met. No she insisted on grabbing the painting. Good job klutz.

The damage she caused was a veritical rip, about 15 centimeters. The Met said they would obviously repair the work. They called it “unobtrusive” and that they were lucky the klutz didn’t rip a focal point in the painting. Seriously. I wonder how much the bill will be for her to fix this piece. And yes Artsy does feel strongly that she should pay for the repairs. Art student? Don’t they teach art students to respect the works of great masters? That they should be respectful and not be a klutz and grab onto the work? For someone who’s that braindead, she should not be in a musuem at all. Maybe she should go to the Staten Island garbage dump instead and lose her balance and rip stuff there instead.
